Go to your PC
and you will see the KIndle popo up. Look under
My computer to see what drive it is on and you will see there are a lot
of folders on the Kindle.

on your PC,
gather the music (or files) you want to transfer from the PC to the Kindle
·
open the
Kindle drive on your PC with explorer.
·
Drag and drop
the files from the pc into the appropriate folder on the Kindle.

once done,
click disconnect on the Kindle screen

Reading your personal documents on a Kindle has never been easier
send to kindle from pc:

Send personal documents to your
Kindle from your PC.

From Windows
Explorer, simply right click on one or more documents and choose Send to
Kindle.
·
From any
Windows application that can print, select Print and choose Send to Kindle.
·
Drag and drop
one or more documents onto the Send to Kindle application.

Choose to
save content to Amazon Cloud Drive where you can access, delete, organize, and
share it from any web browser or using the Cloud Drive app for PC and Mac.
When you download and install, Send to Kindle will appear when you right
click on a file in Windows Explorer or in the print dialog of any Windows
application. To send multiple documents to Kindle without opening them, simply
select documents and choose Send to Kindle from the right-click menu in Windows
Explorer.
Content you save to Cloud Drive can be accessed from any Kindle device or
using the free reading app on your iOS or Android device. Whispersync of notes,
highlights, bookmarks and last page read is available on your Cloud Drive

Register Send to Kindle for PC
To instantly connect your Amazon account, you'll need to register Send to
Kindle for PC so you can send your personal documents to your Kindle devices,
supported reading apps, and Your Kindle Library.

Enter your
Amazon account e-mail address and password.
·
Click the
Register button to confirm your registration.
Use Send to Kindle for PC
Send to Kindle for PC offers you three methods for sending your personal
documents to your registered Kindle devices, supported Kindle reading
applications, and Your Kindle Library in the Amazon Cloud.
You can send the following file types to your registered Kindle devices,
supported Kindle reading applications, and Your Kindle Library in the Amazon
Cloud:

Send Documents from Windows Explorer
You can send documents directly from Windows Explorer.
·
Right click
on the desired file, and then select Send to Kindle.
·
To select
multiple documents, hold the Ctrl key and then select your files.
·
Select the
Kindle device or reading app that you want to send the file to, and then click
Send. If Archive document in your Kindle Library is selected, the file will be
stored in the Cloud. If you don't see your Kindle device or reading app on the
list, make sure Send to Kindle for PC is registered to your Amazon account.
Send from Print Menu
You can send content to your Kindle device, reading app, or Your Kindle
Library from the Print menu.
Sending through the Print Menu may create a version of your document that
is larger than the original.

Select Send
to Kindle from the list of installed printers, and then click Print.

Select the
Kindle device or reading app want to send the file to, and then click Send. If
Archive document in your Kindle Library is selected, the file will be stored in
the Cloud. If you don't see your Kindle device or reading app on the list, make
sure Send to Kindle for PC is registered to your Amazon account.
Drag and Drop
You can drag documents directly into Send to Kindle for PC.

Kindle for PC, and drag and drop one or more documents onto it.

Send to Kindle for Mozilla Firefox makes web articles easier to read – we
send just the content you want and not the distractions.
Once you download and install, a Send to Kindle icon will appear on your
Mozilla Firefox browser.
Content you save to Cloud Drive can be accessed from any Kindle device or
free reading app for your iOS or Android device. Whispersync of notes,Content

Navigating Amazon Silk
Note: Your device will sound when
you plug it in, when it's fully charged, and when you press and hold the power
button to turn off your device. These notifications cannot be turned off.
To view a notification, swipe
down from the top of the screen to open Quick Actions. Your notification will
appear below the Quick Actions menu. Tap the notification to interact with it,
or swipe the notification to dismiss it. To dismiss multiple notifications, tap
Clear All.
Note: You can also view and
dismiss notifications on from the lock screen. Swipe down from the top of the
lock screen to view, tap into, or dismiss a notification. To turn off this
feature, swipe down from the top of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap
Security & Privacy. Next to Lock Screen Notifications, tap Off.
To modify settings for
notifications:
Press and hold the
notification to quickly manage settings for that application.
Swipe down from the top of
the screen, and then tap Settings. Tap Notifications & Quiet Time, and then
select an app from the list to allow the app to appear in the notification tray
or play a sound when a notification arrives for that app.
Tip: Quiet Time mutes all
notification sounds and hides notifications. To turn on Quiet Time, tap Quiet
Time from Quick Actions. You can schedule Quiet Time to automatically turn on
during a certain time period (for example, at night), or whenever you are doing
certain activities on the device, like reading a book or listening to music.
Access Your Content
Your Fire Tablet can store thousands of books, apps, games, music, videos,
and more, which are referred to as "content" throughout our Help
pages. There are several ways to access, organize, and remove content from your
device.Connect to a wireless network to sync your items or download content
from the Cloud to your Fire Tablet.
Sync your Fire Tablet
Sync your Fire Tablet to receive content from the Amazon Cloud, synchronize
content progress across devices, and download any updates.
Swipe down from the top of the
screen and then tap Settings.
Tap Sync and Check For New Items.
Download content from the Cloud
After you purchase Kindle content, it is saved to the Cloud. When you
connect to a wireless network, you can download items from the Cloud to your
Fire Tablet.
From Home, tap a content library
(for example, Books) in the top navigation bar.
Tap a title to download it to
your device. Items that have been downloaded to your Fire Tablet display a
check mark in the lower right corner of the cover image. Items that are stored
in the Cloud do not display a check mark.
Tap the title to open it.
Accessibility Features
Learn how to make your device easier to use, hear, and read with enhanced
accessibility features on your Fire Tablet.
With accessibility features, you can
magnify the screen and increase the size of text in menus on your Fire Tablet.
You can also navigate your device using gestures, and hear spoken feedback
about the items you touch and open.
Important: The accessibility features on Fire Tablet are designed for users
with vision, hearing, or mobility impairments. When you turn on an
accessibility feature, your device will function differently (such as different
gestures for navigation). If your device isn’t responding to your touch, or you
hear a voice whenever you touch the screen, you may have accidentally turned on
the Screen Reader and Explore by Touch.
To turn on accessibility
features:
Swipe down from the top of
the screen to show Quick Actions, and then tap Settings.
Tap Accessibility.

Screen Reader
Manage voice guidance settings, including turning Screen Reader on or off,
adjusting reading speed and volume, feedback tone volume, and gestures for
Explore by Touch.
Screen Reader describes what you touch and interact with on the screen (for
example, the title of a book in the carousel).
Tip: Adjust the Reading Speed of the Screen Reader by pressing the +
(increase) and - (decrease) buttons.
Screen Magnifier
Allows you to use gestures to magnify the screen.
Font Size
Increases the size of the text throughout the device.

Closed Captioning
Note: Tap Closed Captioning Preferences to customize captions for videos
that have Closed Captioning available, including the text style, text and
window background, and more.
Shows captions for movies and TV shows from Amazon Instant Video and web
videos in the Silk Browser (when available for the title).
Convert Stereo to Mono
Disables stereo sound and plays all audio through a single channel.

To turn off Screen Reader and Explore by Touch:
Swipe down from the top of the
screen with two fingers to open Quick Actions.
Tip: If you're on the lock
screen, place two fingers on the screen, swipe to the left, and then open Quick
Actions.
Tap Settings, and then double-tap
the screen to open the Settings menu.
Tap Accessibility, and then
double-tap the screen to open the Accessibility menu.
Next to Screen Reader, tap Off,
and then double-tap the screen to confirm your selection.
In the alert that appears, tap
Continue, and then double-tap the screen. When the Screen Reader is disabled,
Explore by Touch is turned off automatically.

Change reading voice: With the
reading toolbar open, swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers to
open Quick Actions, and then select Settings. From Settings, select Language
& Keyboard, and then select Text-to-Speech.
Amazon Silk
When you first open Amazon Silk, you will see a selection of
pre-populated bookmarks. Tap to open one of these bookmarked sites.
As you use Amazon Silk, this screen will begin to display the sites you
visit most frequently. You can clear these "most visited" tiles by
clearing browsing history.
You can search the web or enter a specific web site address in the search
bar at the top of the screen. Tap within the search bar and use the onscreen
keyboard to enter a search term or web address. Tap the Go button to start your
search.
Rotate your Kindle Fire to view a webpage in landscape or portrait format.
Tap the full screen icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to
display webpages in full screen mode. Tap the arrow at the bottom of the screen
to exit full screen mode.
Pinch your finger and thumb to zoom in and out within a web page. Tap to
open items.
Creating bookmarks
To bookmark a website, tap the menu icon at the bottom of the screen. Tap
"Add bookmark." A dialog box will let you select the default name for
the site or save the bookmark under a name you enter. Tap OK.
To view or manage your bookmarks, tap the bookmark icon at the bottom of
the screen. You'll see a new screen showing each of your bookmarked sites. Tap
and hold on any site to see more options. Display your bookmarked websites in
list or grid view by tapping the icons in the top right corner of the screen.
Using tabs
Tap the plus symbol to open multiple tabs and quickly switch between by
tapping the title of the tab. When you have more than four tabs open, swipe
your finger to the left or the right on the tabs heading to scroll through the
different tabs.
To follow a link without navigating away from the page you are viewing, tap
and hold the link and select "Open in new tab."
To close a tab, tap the "x" in the right corner of the tab. Tap
and hold on a tab for more options.
Viewing Flash content
Flash is supported on Amazon Silk but is disabled by default. If you see a message to install Flash while
using your Kindle Fire, this means that the content you are attempting to view
is a Flash file. If you would like to
open the file, you will need to enable Flash through your Silk Settings menu.
With the Amazon Silk web browser
open, tap the menu icon at the bottom of the screen, then tap Settings.
Tap the arrow next to Enable
Flash and select your preferred behavior: "Always on," "On
demand," or "Off."
If you haven’t updated your Kindle Fire to the latest software version
available, this setting can be accessed by tapping “Enable plug-ins.” To update
your Kindle Fire to the latest software version, visit www.amazon.com/kindlesoftwareupdates.
Reading View
If a web page is compatible with Amazon Silk’s Reading View, you’ll see a
reading glasses icon at the bottom of the screen in the Options bar. Tap this
icon to display the web page in in a single-screen format optimized for
reading. Tap the “X” icon in the top right corner of the screen to return to
standard view.
Tap on a link within Reading View to open the page in your current tab in
standard view. If the new page is also compatible with Reading View, you’ll see
the reading glasses icon at the bottom of the screen. To open the link in a new
tab, press and hold the link and select “Open in new tab.”
To switch tabs while using Reading View, tap the Options bar at the bottom
of the screen. The content of the page will remain in Reading View, but you’ll
be able to see the tabs and URL field at the top of the screen. Tap another tab
to open it. If you switch back to the tab you were viewing in Reading View, you
can view the page in full-screen mode again by tapping the Full Screen icon in
the lower right corner of the screen.
Downloading Content
To download videos or images from the web, press and hold on the item. Tap
the option to Save.
Note: To purchase digital items, use the store within the corresponding
content library on your Kindle Fire: Newsstand, Books, Music, Video, or Apps.
When you select a file to download, a notification will appear in the status
bar. You can pull down the status bar to check the download progress of the
file. Once the download has completed, tap to open it. After this initial
viewing, you can revisit your downloads by tapping Menu from the options bar at
the bottom of the screen while browsing, then select "Downloads." You
can also delete downloads from this screen.
Once your download completes you can also view it in the Gallery app. Tap
the Home button to return to the Home screen and open Apps. Tap the Gallery
icon to open the app. Select Downloads to view the items you've downloaded
using Amazon Silk.
Items you download from Amazon Silk will be automatically saved in the
download directory on your Kindle Fire, which you can access through your
computer by connecting your Kindle Fire to your computer via a USB cable (sold
separately). Open the download folder to access the items you've downloaded.
Managing Your Browsing History
Your browsing history is saved so that you can quickly reopen frequently
used websites. To clear your browsing history, tap the Menu icon at the bottom
of the page, select “History,” then “Clear All” at the top of the screen.
To clear individual bookmarks or frequently visited websites one at a time,
hold down on the website tile you would like to remove, and a menu will appear
giving you the option to delete.
Additional Settings
For additional options when using Amazon Silk, tap the menu icon at the
bottom of the screen to display tools for easily sharing web pages, viewing
your browsing history, monitoring downloads, and accessing more settings to
customize your Amazon Silk experience
