If it is the new model, there is no ethernet port but you can buy a special adapter.

Should have ports: USB, SD card slot.

Power Button on the keyboard

DOCK: the icons on the bottom of the screen. Shows all the app.

to change the DOCK:

go to the apple icon in the upper right

                DOCK/ DOCK preferences

can change the size, location and hide the dock.

System Preferences: ICON that looks like Gears.

FINDER: face icon. like windows explorer, lets you look at all the files on your appl.

if a process is hung up, go to APPLE icon then / FORCE QUIT

SYSTEM PREFERENCES: TrackPad. videos on how to use various finger movenents to control the mouse.

·         open an app on dock: one finger tap

·         right mouse click: tap to fingers

·         Browse between web pages: swipe 2 fingers left and right

·         scroll: 2 fingers up and down

·         zoom: pinch  fingers

·         rotate: finger and thumb rotate on track pad

·         Switch between apps:  3 fingrs swipe side to side

·         Mission Control: 3 fingers awipe up

you can have more than 1 desktop

on trackpad settings, you can check "LOOKUP", this will look up a word in the dictionary that you highlight (select)
